Did you miss us ?

On our way back...

... we stopped over for one night in Mykonos...

...and on the wall of the dining room at the hotel where we stayed...

... we saw this...

...four canvases, one picture...

... interesting...

... and then home to a storm, a rained off beach party and then...

...a rainbow.

Well worth going.

Moraitis Winery in Naousa always makes for an interesting visit...

... you can see the new...

...the vintage...

...and the old...

...in with a beautiful little museum...

...and if you like...

...you can even taste the wine.

In the field next door ....

The twin lambs are growing fast and are remarkably friendly...

....probably due to all the tidbits we feed them...

...they're not so fond of cucumber but love geraniums !

Here's one for the ladies....

"En passant" (as they say) I noticed this very colourful window the other day...

... perhaps you may have already seen it ... and know where it is ?

... If you do ... leave a comment below...

Makria Miti

A stroll along the beach towards Makri Miti (Long Nose) ..

....took us past this gate... It's cobbled together but does the job...

...Greeks say "the sea is like oil" when it is still like this...

... a perfect day for walking...

Saints Theodore

We decided to make our journey using the back roads and donkey paths...

...and as we climbed high into the hills behind Angeria I discovered another well and wash troughs which I never knew existed...

...these hadn't been restored as the ones further down inthe village have and pretty much as they were when the last people used them...

... with two wells and washing places, past Angerians must have been very well laundered...

...Then, after making a long slow climb up we came to Agie Theothodorie...

...evidently the little convent is name after more than one saint Theodore...

...and it  amazes me how well kept and maintained it is...

...totally at odds of the rough terrain all around it...

...The donkey path to the back of Agios Giorgos at Angeria brought us past some beautiful old houses...

...most were inhabited but one was derelict...

...with an interesting configuration of windows and doors.
